Age on a specific date
Admission and job adverts often set an age limit on a particular date, for example “maximum 25 years as on 31 December”. Change the “age on” date to that day to see exactly how old you will be. This matters when you are close to the limit, because one day can make you eligible or not.

How is age calculated?
Whole years are counted first, then whole months, then the remaining days. If you were born on 29 February, most systems count your birthday as 28 February in non-leap years.
