Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information FreeToolBox collects, why, and what choices you have. The short version: the files you use with our tools never leave your device, and we collect very little else.

Files you use with our tools

All tools on FreeToolBox run entirely in your web browser. When you choose or drop a file, it is read and processed on your own device. It is not uploaded to our server or to anyone else, and we have no way to see it. The file and the result are cleared from your browser’s memory when you close or reload the page. The student calculators work the same way: the marks, dates and text you type stay on your device and are not saved.

Information you send us

If you use the contact form, we store the name, email address, subject and message you enter so we can read and reply to it. We do not use this information for marketing and we do not sell or share it. We delete messages when they are no longer needed to answer you.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs. Like most websites, our web server records basic technical information about each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and working.
• Fonts. Our pages load the Plus Jakarta Sans font from Google Fonts. When your browser downloads it, Google receives your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.

Cookies

The tools themselves do not use cookies. The contact form sets a single session cookie to protect the form against misuse; it is deleted when you close your browser. When advertising is shown (see below), Google and its partners may also set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser. We do not use our own analytics or tracking cookies.

Advertising

To keep the tools free, FreeToolBox shows, or may show, advertisements served by Google AdSense. About these ads:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at www.aboutads.info.

• Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and can change their choice at any time.

Ads never have access to the files or numbers you use with our tools, because those stay on your device.

Children

FreeToolBox is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete any message you have sent through the contact form. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR. To make a request, contact us at hello@example.com.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
