How to use the Merge PDF

  1. Choose or drop two or more PDF files.
  2. Use the arrows to put the files in the order you want.
  3. Select Merge PDFs and download your new file.

Your files stay on your device. This tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to our server, and the file is gone as soon as you close the page. Read our privacy policy.

When to merge PDF files

Merging joins several PDFs into one document. It's what you need when a portal accepts only one file: a job application with your CV, cover letter and certificates; a university submission with the title page, assignment and references; or an office file with scanned forms and receipts.

How to get the order right

The files are joined from top to bottom in the list. Use the arrows to move a file up or down; the page count beside each file helps you check nothing is missing. If you need to change the order of individual pages after merging, open the result in Organize PDF.

A typical job application pack

  1. Cover letter
  2. CV or résumé
  3. Degree and transcripts (use Image to PDF if you only have photos of them)
  4. CNIC or passport copy
  5. Experience letters

Is the merged file too big?

Merging copies the pages exactly, so the new file is roughly the size of all the files added together. If a portal has a limit such as 2 MB or 5 MB, run the merged file through Compress PDF.

Private by design

CVs, certificates and ID copies contain personal details. Here the files are merged inside your browser and never uploaded, which is safer than sending them to an unknown server.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?

There is no fixed limit. Each file can be up to 100 MB, and because merging happens in your browser, very large jobs depend on your device’s memory. Most phones handle dozens of normal PDFs without trouble.

Will merging lower the quality of my PDFs?

No. The pages are copied into the new file exactly as they are, so text stays sharp and selectable, and images keep their original quality.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

No. Protected PDFs can’t be opened in the browser. Remove the password first in the app you normally use to open the file, then merge it.
