How to Merge PDF Files Into One (Free, No Upload)

Combine certificates, scanned pages and assignments into a single PDF in the right order, then shrink it for email or an upload portal.

Many portals let you upload only one file, but your documents are in five: CNIC copy, matric certificate, inter certificate, domicile and a photo. Merging them into one PDF solves it, and it only takes a minute.

Merge PDFs in four steps

  1. Open the Merge PDF tool.
  2. Drop all your PDFs into the box (or click to choose them). You can add more at any time.
  3. Put them in the order you want. The files are joined from top to bottom.
  4. Type a file name and click Merge PDFs, then download.

The files are joined on your device. Nothing is uploaded, which matters for identity documents.

Documents that are photos, not PDFs

If some pages are phone photos (JPG or PNG), turn them into a PDF first with Image to PDF, then merge that PDF with the others. For a sideways scan, fix it with Rotate PDF before merging.

Reorder or remove pages afterwards

Merged the wrong page, or need to move page 7 to the front? Open the merged file in Organize PDF to drag pages into place and delete extras. To take a few pages out as a separate file, use Split PDF.

Keep the file small

Scanned pages make big files: five scans at 2 MB each give a 10 MB PDF, more than many portals accept. Run the merged file through Compress PDF. Our guide on reducing PDF size explains which setting to pick.

Suggested order for applications

Finally, add page numbers with Add Page Numbers so the reviewer can refer to each page.
