How attendance percentage is calculated
Attendance % = classes attended ÷ classes held × 100. If 40 classes have been held and you attended 33, your attendance is 82.5%.
How many classes can I miss?
Most universities in Pakistan and India require 75% attendance to sit the final exam, and some ask for 80%. With 33 out of 40 (82.5%) and a 75% rule, you can miss 4 more classes: 33 ÷ 44 = 75%. Miss a fifth and you drop to 73.3%.
Already below 75%?
If you've attended 28 out of 40 classes (70%), you need to attend the next 8 classes in a row to get back to 75%: 36 ÷ 48 = 75%. The calculator works this out for you, so you know exactly how long you must not miss anything.

Labs often have a separate, stricter requirement.
Keep medical certificates: some universities excuse documented absences.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate my attendance percentage?
Divide the classes you attended by the classes held and multiply by 100. For example, 31 out of 40 classes is 77.5%.
How many classes can I miss and still have 75%?
Divide the classes you attended by 0.75 and subtract the classes held so far. Round down, and that’s how many classes in a row you can miss. The calculator does this for any minimum.
Is the 75% rule the same everywhere?
Most universities and colleges in Pakistan require 75% attendance to sit the final exam, but some ask for 80% and some count lab and theory classes separately. Your student handbook has the exact rule.
