Your files stay on your device. This tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to our server, and the file is gone as soon as you close the page. Read our privacy policy.

Why do PDF pages end up sideways?

Scanners and phone scanning apps don't always know which way up a page is, and landscape tables or charts are often saved sideways inside portrait documents. Reading them means turning your head or your screen. Rotating fixes it once, for everyone who opens the file.

Rotate one page or all of them

  • Single pages: use the buttons under each page preview. Each click turns the page 90°.
  • All pages: use All left, All right or All 180° when the whole document came out of the scanner the wrong way.
  • Changed your mind? Reset puts every page back the way it was.

Does rotating reduce quality?

No. The tool changes the page's rotation setting inside the PDF, which is how PDF readers are meant to handle it. Text, images and links are not redrawn, so nothing is lost and the file size hardly changes.

What else can you fix?

If pages are in the wrong order or some are blank, use Organize PDF. To add page numbers after fixing the layout, use Add Page Numbers. For sideways photos rather than PDFs, use the Image Rotator.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes. Each page has its own buttons to turn it left or right. Use All left, All right or All 180° when every page needs the same change.

Does rotating change the quality of my PDF?

No. Rotating only changes the direction the page is shown in. The text and images inside it are not changed at all.
