Turn PDF pages into images for WhatsApp, slides or a portal that only accepts JPG. Choose the format, the resolution and which pages to convert.
Sometimes a PDF isn't the right format: a form wants your certificate as a JPG, you want to share one page on WhatsApp, or you need a page in a presentation. Converting PDF pages to images fixes all of these.
How to convert
- Open PDF to Image and drop in your PDF.
- Choose JPG or PNG.
- Pick a resolution (see the table below).
- Convert all pages, or choose “Selected pages” and type e.g.
1-3, 5. - Click Convert pages and download the images.
JPG or PNG?
- JPG: smaller files. Best for scanned documents and photos, and for forms with a KB limit.
- PNG: sharper text and lines, but bigger files. Best for diagrams, slides and printing.

Which resolution?
| Setting | A4 page size | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| 72 DPI | 595 × 842 px | Quick previews, thumbnails |
| 144 DPI | 1190 × 1684 px | Screens, WhatsApp, most forms |
| 216 DPI | 1786 × 2526 px | Small text that must stay readable |
| 300 DPI | 2480 × 3508 px | Printing |
Higher DPI means sharper text but larger files. If the image is too big for a form, run it through the Image Compressor or the Image Resizer.
Going the other way
To turn photos back into a PDF, use Image to PDF. To copy the words instead of a picture of them, use PDF to Text (it works on PDFs that contain real text, not on scans).
Privacy
Pages are drawn on your own device with pdf.js, the same engine Firefox uses to show PDFs. The file never leaves your computer or phone.
